Oper@4U

Oper@4U is an innovative project that has been put in place by the Teatro Comunale e Auditorium Foundation to promote contemporary music among young people.

The project has been specifically designed for young high school students and their teachers.
Its 2008/2009 edition centres on the opera Julie, by Philippe Boesmans, which has been produced and presented by the Teatro Comunale di Bolzano with a new staging during the Opera Season.
This teaching program has provided students not just with a means to compare musical opera and the theatrical drama it gives rise to -  Froken Julie by August Strindberg – but has also allowed them to come to grips with the secrets of contemporary musical theatre and understand how the theatre functions.
Over the coming years, the project aims to become a vehicle to raise awareness and promote the world of opera and contemporary music among students and their teachers.
